1. Objectives and Activities
Amud Yomi L’Anash exists to strengthen and spread the study of Torah, Talmud, and classical Jewish texts among Anash – the wider Chabad and frum communities – by providing structured daily learning programmes.
Its charitable object is:
“The teaching of the Torah, Talmud and other Jewish texts and Scriptures, in particular but not exclusively online, and any such other activities charitable in law which the Trustees consider will generally foster the spirit and practice of traditional Judaism.”
To achieve these aims, the charity:
-
Publishes Amud Yomi learning schedules and review charts.
-
Provides shiurim, online study materials, and printed resources.
-
Organises Siyumim and communal learning events.
-
Encourages daily Torah learning and mutual inspiration within the community.
2. Achievements and Performance in 2024
During 2024, Amud Yomi L’Anash continued to grow in both participation and impact:
-
Completion of several Masechtos, celebrated with joyous Siyumim.
-
Hundreds of daily learners following the Amud Yomi schedule worldwide.
-
Expansion of online content, including accessible review aids and downloadable luachim.
-
Increased engagement through community updates, divrei Torah, and inspirational study initiatives.
These activities have significantly strengthened daily Torah learning and fostered unity and enthusiasm among Anash participants in the UK and abroad.
3. Financial Review
Opening balance (1 January 2024) 899
| Income: Donations and contributions | 5,317 |
|---|---|
| Total available funds | 6,216 |
| Expenditure: Educational materials, online | (5,924) |
| costs, events, administration | |
| Closing balance (31 December 2024) | 292 |
The charity operated at a modest deficit this year, primarily due to investments in new educational resources and online infrastructure. Expenditure remained in line with charitable purposes, focusing on Torah teaching and outreach. The closing balance of £292 is held in the charity’s current account and will be used to fund ongoing learning programmes in 2025. The Trustees are satisfied that the charity remains financially sound and continues to manage its resources prudently.
4. Structure, Governance, and Management
Amud Yomi L’Anash is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by its constitution. The three Trustees jointly oversee all policy, programming, and financial matters, meeting regularly to review activities and ensure compliance with both UK charity law and Halachic principles.
No Trustee received remuneration or expenses in the financial year. The charity relies on the efforts of volunteer educators and supporters, whose dedication enables its continued success.
5. Plans for the Future
In 2025, Amud Yomi L’Anash plans to:
-
Continue the Amud Yomi cycle through new Masechtos.
-
Produce enhanced digital and print materials.
-
Develop structured chazara (review) initiatives to strengthen retention.
-
Increase communal Siyumim and local study partnerships.
All future initiatives aim to deepen Torah learning, unity, and spiritual growth among Anash.
6. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities
The Trustees confirm that they have complied with their statutory duties to further the charity’s purposes, safeguard its assets, and ensure proper accounting records are maintained and submitted to the Charity Commission as required.
