This is particularly<br>beneficial for the school students who<br>had passed the middle schools, but<br>whose parents were unable to afford<br>further education for their children. The<br>very basic education requirement in<br>Pakistan is graduation from class 10.<br>Previously students had been taught<br>up to 8thclass.<br>3.<br>The Charity also helped to improve the<br>learning environment for students by<br>replacing two broken down electric<br>fans, and a water cooler.|

Furthermore, the number<br>of students dropping out of the classes has<br>been reduced.<br>The new class in the afternoon has also<br>meant that the girls who would have most<br>probably joined their mothers in the lowly<br>paid domestic workers jobs, before getting<br>married early, would be able to pass their<br>basic school level exams and go on to<br>further education, or learn other basic skills<br>and be able to contribute to the family<br>income, which in turn mean that the<br>parents wouldn’t regard them as economic<br>burden and try to marry them at an early<br>age.|

Note 6: Brief Note on charity expenditure – Free school text books and writing books for 120 school students were provided, as well as school bags. Their exam papers and exam results cards were paid for. The charity helped to fund an afternoon class for the classes 9[th] and 10th students, who had passed the middle schools, but whose parents are unable to afford further education for their children. 

The other equipment bought included 2 electric ceiling fans, and a water cooler.

The purpose of the expenditure was to improve study environment for very poor school students and persuade their parents not to take school children out of school.
