Achlov&ments and performan¢•
This New year has broughl us new challenges and allowed us lo help more people. During this period,
we have been able lo support individuals with on8-tO-one counsellinglpsy¢hotherapy support who have
shown signs of improvement in their mental health by 98.9'/0. The demand is great in the Wesl Midlands
area. especially In Walsall., many individuals need mental health support and can t simply access therapy
because of financial pressures and waiting list issues. The shortestwaiting list In the wesl midlands area
is still long, with the shortest being nine months. CAMHS has seen their highest number of referrals at
3,487 young people per week. The NHS are under tremendous pressure regarding supply support for
people's mental health and al an excellent qLJality where each patient is seen as an individual. not just
a number. has offered clients sessions within seven working days across all the services.
BYT are worklng hard in partnership with other services in Walsall and the Wgst Mid5ands lo provide
mental health support to those most need it. Individuals that have benefited from our services.. We
believe. frorn our experience and feedback, that our seryices have assisted people at risk of

Plans for future perlods
2023-2024, we aim to be able to help a minimum of 300 people IhroLJgh one-lo-one therapy or group.
We aim lo continue with our on@-tO&one work, and we will be starting our counselling support groups
that cover a range of subjects such as mothers and mind, depression and anxiety, childhood trauma
and addiction,. we aim to run a minimum of one 9roup a week al different times lo be abl& lo provide
mtsntal health support for those that need in another formal. We also will be starting free drop and chat
sessions during the week to give the people additional support durlng the week outside their schoduled
sessions.
As well as our one-to-one therapy and groups, we are also looking lo join anothèr organisalion to lease
some offices based in the local Walsall Arboretum lo have a Iherapeulic environment for Clients and
provide walk4nd-talk therapy. We know we cannot help éveryone, so we will be working on providing
a ne￿Ork of safe spaces throughout the Walsall where people will be listened lo and can be signposled
to further serviceslsupport as required. This is distinct from formal counsellingllherapy and is to be
viewed as a helping and listening service. With such long wailing lists for NHS-provided treatments,
which are crucially needed by $0 many, this seNice will assist those struggling to wait without help.
We also would love to grow our team of theraplsls and bring on part-time and full-lime contracted
