Principal Activitv The principal activity of the charity in the whole year miew which is carried out for the public beneftt 15 the advancement of the Christian faith through, but not exclusively through'.- * the provision of religiovs services and a pla of worship the holding of prayer groups, and producing andlor ¢Jistributin8 literature on the Christian farth to enlighten other5 about the Christian religion. The Church strongly believe in the power of prayer coupled with righteous livin8 and and holine5S to be Christ disciple and consistently teache5 and promotes Biblical Christianity through its main services and wider outreach. Financial review-. Our income are received through donations from members and friends of the church. We wish to thank and appreciate all our members and volunteers for their financial and other contributions which has sustain the Church to this level. Independent Examiner'5 Report on the Trustees of Worldwide Pentecostal Gospel Mi55ion I report to the trustees on the accounts of the WPGM for the year ended 31 May 2024, which are set out on pages I to 8. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner: The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity'5 trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year ur)der section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the charities Actl and that an independent examination is needed. It is our responsibility to.. examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Direction5 given by the Charity commission (under section 14515llbl of the Charities Artl, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's Statement Our examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a cornparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosu$ in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the account5 present a 'true and fair" view and the report 15 limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Bais of Preparatlon The accounts (financial statements) have been prepared under the historical c05t convention. Expenditure All expenditure 15 recogntsed once there is a legal or constructive obligation to that expenditure, it is probable settlement is required and the amount can be mèasured reliably. All r05ts are allocated to the applicable expenditure heading that a88regate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to headings. they have been allocated to activities on 3 basis consister)t with the use of resource5. Donation5 and legacies Donations and legacies are rèco8nised on a receivable basis whèn reteipt is probable and the amount can be reliably measuied. Goln8 Concern The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as a 80in8 concern. In¢ome and endowments Voluntary income including donatlolls, 8ift5, legaoe5 and grants that provide core fundina or are of a general nature is reco8nised when the charity has entitlement to the income. it 15 probable that the income will be received and the amountcan be measured with sufficient reliability. TaJKation The charity is considered to pass the tests set out in Paragrap8 I Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010 and therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company foi UK corporation tax purposes. Accordinglyp ihe charity is potentially exempt fium taxation in respect of income or capital gains received within categories covered by Chapter 3 part 11 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 or Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992, to the extent that such income or gains are applied èxclusively to charitable purposes.
