SHERBORNES WITH PAMBER MINISTRY TRUST- TRUSTEES REPORT
Purpose . The purpose of Sherbornes with Pamber Ministry Trust {SwPMTI Is to advance the
Christian religion in the diocese of Winchester primarily within the parish of the Sherbornes with
Pamber and in particular (but not exclusively) . to pay or contribute towards the salary, costs and
expenses lincluding the provision of living accommodation} of a Christian worker or workers
employed by the Parochial Church Council IPCCI of the Sherbornes wlth Pamber ISWPI and approved
by the trustees and to support evangelism and pastoral work. The trust was set up in 2021 to replace
the Sherbornes with Pamber Parish Trust ISWPPTI.

DurSn8 the year, the Income of the trust was £ 26,952.41 and the expendlture was £ 6,982.50.
Overall, Income ex¢eeded eJTpendlture by £ 19,969.91. The funds increased from £258,436.93 to
£278,406.84.

Kirtna Brack and Jenni Monger lappointed 3011120241. Nick Hardin8 and Andy Spence have also
been on the SWP PCC throu8hout the year and Nick Elphick has been on the SWPPCC since
0610412025. The trustees met three times in the year to ensure the trust Is being run In accordance
with the trust document considering the Charity Commission guidance on charities for the
advancement of religion and the public benefit, review the flnancial posidon and consider future
opportun[￿e$. New trustees are elected by the existing ones and there is no set term for seNlng as a
trustee.

Financlal Revlew
Expendlture of £ 6,982 was up by 27% on the previous year. This was made up of gifts to the PCC of
£ 6,221 lup 35%) and £395 to the SSJ school (down 29%) and fees to the independent examlner of
£480 lup 25%). All expenditure was in accordance with the aims of the Trust. The gifts to the PCC
were £500 towards the cost of updating their website and £2,CQO for the costs of Youth & Children's
Ministry. £221 for ministry reading materials and £3.500 to support the PCC contributing the full cost
of a full-time minister to the Diocese of Winchester in 2024. The PCC did not employ a Parish
Ministry Assistant during the year.
The Income of £ 26.952.41 wa5 up by 5% compared to the previous year. This was made up of
regular donations of £ 15,470.IXI (down 12%), one-off donations of£ 557.50 (down 30%), Gift Aid
reclaimed of £ 3,978 lup 18%>, interest on deposits of £6.946 70%).
Donations are mainly from members of the church congregation. Enquiries about donations are
dealt with confidentially by the parish stewardship secretary Lynda Harding* who administers the 81ft
aid reclalms.
The ossets at the end of the year were £278,406.84 lup 8%>. Thls reflected an Increase in funds of
£19,969.91 reflectin8 that the PCC did not employ a PMA during the year. Thls compared to the
Increase of £20,164.04 for the previous year. Durln8 the year the Vlr8ln Money account was c105ed
nd a new account with Shawbrook Bank opened.
Outlook for ihe comlng year . The trust alms to alleviate the PCC'S costs If It employs a PMA
tO8ether with the PMA'S accommodation costs of livin8 in the parlsh. There Is currently no PMA. but
the PCC will be employing a Music Outreach Leader from 1° September 2025 and the trustees have
agreed to a gift to the PCC for £IOk over the comin8 year to alleviate the PCC'S Costs for this new
role. There are no restricted funds and hence all existing fund5 can be used for any purpose
permitted within the trust rules. The trustees intend to use the bequest of £179,788 passed to It bv
the SWPPT as a separate Property Fund to cover future accornmodation costs of PMAS. This may
Involve taking a mort8a8e loan to supplement the bequest to afford purchaslng a sultable property,
but the Jmescale for this remalns uncertaln.

Independent Examinerfs Report to the Trustees of the Sherbornes with
Pamber Ministry Trust
I report on the accounts of the trust for the year ended to 31 Au8USt 2025 and Financial Review,
which are set out on page5 2 to 3.
Resperti¥e responsibillties of the Trnstees and the Examlner
The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The trustees consider that an audit
is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe 2011 Act) and that
an Independent examinatton is needed.
It is my responsibility to
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the commission under
section 145151 Ibl of the 2011 Act

Basls of the Independent Examlnerfs Report
My examination was Carrled out in accordance with the general Directlons given by the Charity
Commission. An examlnatfjon includes a review of the aCcoUn￿n￿ records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes conslderation of any
unusual items or disclosure5 in the accounts, and seeking explanatfjons from the trustees concernSng
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required In an audit and consequently no opinlon is given as to whether the ac¢ounts present a 'true
and fair Vie￿ and the report Is limited to those matters set out in the next ststement.
