Activities

To promote equality and diversity by eliminating disability discrimination, advancing education, and fostering understanding. We aim to relieve the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families by providing learning, recreational opportunities, advocacy, and promoting integration while partnering with others for the best outcomes.

Objects: 1. The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit, in particular, but without limitation, in England, Wales, and Africa, by: a. The elimination of discrimination on the grounds of disability; b. Advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity; c. Promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds; d. Conducting or commissioning research on equality and diversity issues and publishing the results to the public; e. Cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity. 2. To relieve the needs of children and adults with disabilities, and their families/carers, in particular, but not exclusively, by: a. Providing services offering learning and recreational opportunities to individuals with disabilities and facilitating access to a wide range of services to maximise their potential, enjoyment, quality of life, and general well-being, and to support them, their families, dependents, and carers; b. Providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to facilitate their acceptance and/or integration into their local communities and to improve public awareness and understanding of their condition; c. Offering support and information, including advocacy services; d. Seeking the views of, and listening to, individuals, their families, and supporters on all aspects of living with disabilities, to promote the needs and abilities of people with disabilities through awareness campaigns; e. Working in partnership with other organisations and service providers to obtain the best possible benefit for individuals with disabilities.
