Chairperson report for extra ordinary general meeting Jan 23
I am pleased that we have finally reached the point where the pre school has completed all of the steps necessary to begin operating in the new name of Coniston Early Years Centre incorporating St Chad’s Pre School. I know that it will continue to grow and flourish with the same leader and staff team, now that the changes are all complete and they can get focus on the things that are most important to them which are the children, supporting the parents and developing their environment.
I have been proud to be part of this process and know that as I hand over to the new chairperson they will enjoy working with Sarah and her team. I wish Joanna all the best in her new role.

New Chairs report Extra Ordinary General Meeting held January 23
I am very pleased to be able to take up the position of Chair of Trustees for Coniston Early Years Centre. I have over recent months been following the progress of change for St Chads Pre School as it became known by its new name Coniston Early Years Centre incorporating St Chad’s Pre School. I know that Sarah and her team will continue to grow and thrive now that the changes are all complete.
I would like to thank Claire for all her hard work over the past couple of years and the support she has given Sarah during the process of change has been very much appreciated.
I look forward to my new role and getting to know the pre school on an even deeper level. As Chair I am keen to support Sarah with staff appraisals, developing and maintaining policies and all the other exciting events that are always taking place at the pre school.

Treasurers report for Extra Ordinary General meeting Jan 23
It has been a long journey to reach this point but it is good to hear that finally everything necessary for the changeover is complete and that the pre school can now operate in the new name of Coniston Early Years Centre incorporating St Chad’s. I am pleased to confirm that the balance of the accounts transferring into the new name is as detailed on the accounts document submitted with this report. I would like to confirm that there are no financial accounts records for Coniston Early Years Centre from September 22 up to February 23 as during this time the pre school was still operating as St Chad’s Pre School and the financial records for that period are therefore filed with the St Chads Pre School Annual Return for 2022 – 2023.
As mentioned in my report submitted at the last St Chad’s Pre School AGM in September 22 it was and still is my intention to step down as Treasurer once the process of changeover is complete. I therefore resign as treasurer from this meeting onwards.
I know that the new treasurer Kim Wathen will help and support Sarah as the pre school moves forward.

I am pleased to be taking on the role of Treasurer and look forward to supporting Sarah to ensure the financial records for Coniston Early Years Centre are correctly maintained. I hope to learn how to complete and file a financial account for the period of February 23 through to August 23 and thereafter full annual records for Coniston Early Years Centre.

## Leaders Report for Extra Ordinary General Meeting January 2023.
I am pleased to be able to provide this brief report for this Extra Ordinary General Meeting. Finally we have reached the point where everything is in place for us to begin operating in our new name of Coniston Early Years Centre incorporating St Chad’s Pre School. We now have a bank account set up and ready to go, all new signage is in place, all paperwork changed and ready to go so all very exciting.
Most importantly to me is the fact that my whole staff team and myself are stable and there are no changes in this respect, we are all keen to move forward in the new name and continue to provide the love and care we hold so dear for the children.
I also look forward to working with the new Trustees, Joanna Phillips – Chair of Trustees, Kim Wathen Treasurer of Trustees and Jade Weston Secretary to the Trustees.

## Minutes of Extra Ordinary General Meeting January 23

This meeting was called to allow the existing committee members to resign their posts as had been agreed would happen when the pre school reached the point of being ready to start operating in their new name and new charity status. As from 1.2.23 the pre school will operate as Coniston Early Years Centre incorporating St Chad’s Pre School and will no longer be an unincorporated charity but will be a CIO.
There are no changes to the staff team or the manager and the pre school will continue to operate from the same premises of Epney Close, Patchway, Bristol.
During the meeting resignations were received from Claire Elsworth – Committee Chairperson, Haidong Li – Committee Treasurer, Melanie Elsworth – Committee Secretary.
New trustees were appointed as follows – Joanna Phillips – Chair of Trustees Kim Wathen – Treasurer of Trustees Jade Weston – Secretary to the Trustees
There were no other matters to discuss and the meeting closed.
