## **1. Introduction**

This annual report provides a summary of the work undertaken by Pontsticill Community Group over the past year.

We became a charitable incorporated organisation in June 2021. Our stated purpose is:

a. To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and enhancement of the physical and natural environment of the village of Pontsticill and surrounding area; and

b. To promote, for the benefit of the people who live and work in Pontsticill and the surrounding area, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of said people.”

The community group holds meetings of trustees and members every 2 months. We produce a newsletter twice each year for the local community.

We have sought grant funding to complete environmental and conservation work over the past year, and have continued to organise social activities and volunteer days.
