The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill- health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through the provision of grant funding to provide relief for those in need of greater access to health care, health treatment and education throughout India. |

Objective to address social exclusion in Coventry: We have now established the second year of the Lotus Support Group, and have developed good relationships with social prescribers. As a consequence we have a minimum of 12-15 people attend the fortnightly events. The Lotus Support Group are now; becoming more active in suggesting topics for discussion, speakers to invite, activities to engage with developing friendships with each other, and consequently welcoming one another with more enthusiasm actively sharing positive messages on the group whatsapp, birthdays and other celebrations Objective to address those in need in India: |
This year also enabled both of the charity founders, Mrs Uma Sharma and Mr Vijay Kumar to visit Onkar Mission in Jharkhand, India. They visited various projects, run by the Onkar Mission, which the Neeraj Foundation Family Trust has been actively funding, and also had the opportunity to donate to new projects. Para 1.20 | Upwards of 50 people have been supported by the Lotus Support Group (the name given to the group in Coventry ∙ Beneficiaries have stated “sadness disappearing / confidence resuming / feelings of hope”, and have benefitted with the fortnightly meeting of the Lotus Group in the following ways; ∙ Reduced isolation ∙ Developing friendships with other group members ∙ Meeting for coffee independently of the Lotus Support Group ∙ Planning holidays with friends they have made, as a result of this support group ∙ Social prescribers are being supported, being able to recommend clients to the Lotus Support Group ∙ Family friends are also making recommendations for people they have identified as socially isolated ∙ The Onkar Mission have accepted our donation, and apportioned the funds to; Necessary aids for the elderly within the care home Books for school children Water wells. |
