benefited from the goodwill and assets that
were built up since 2017 which were
transferred to the CIO on incorporation. The
cash at bank that was transferred to the CIO
was £11,277.52
Our annual light inspired Diwali celebration,
which we deliver by working with partner
organisations brings together the community.
This day, the visiting wider community gets
to experience Hindu values, artistic and
cultural heritage, food, music, attire,
mythology and stories as well as highlighting
awareness of and keeping the heritage alive.
We also bring together cross generational
engagement, encourage acceptance and
understanding of the heritage of minority
communities of Hindu religion/ from Indian
subcontinent|

_annual free family day out - Diwali festival_
_attracting close to 1000 participants._
_This was at a time when social distancing_
_was still being observed, therefore we_
_worked closely with our partner_
_organisations to ensure visitor safety._
_We did this through running a repeating_
_program that ensured capacity of the venue_
_(both indoors and outdoors) was observed_
_with social distance in mind._
_Fortunately we had dry weather, which_
_allowed us to facilitate much of the activities_
_outside which was ideal given the caution_
_being exercised for the purpose of COVID 19_
_precautions._
_Funders and Partners_
_We partnered with Discover Bucks Museum,_
_local Town & County Council, local Arts_
_Centre and local businesses to jointly carry_
_out activities of community engagement of_
_minority BAME groups of Indian origin for the_
_awareness and education of Hindu arts,_
_culture and heritage._
_Support from local MP, and organisations_
_such as Bhrahmakumaris and Art of Living_
_offering meditative practices, insight to the_
_many goddesses explaining what they_
_represent and recognising ones own_
_strengths and weaknesses in order to focus_
_on elevating a positive mental outlook and_
_self-healing and well-being, practices to_
_engage in mental and physical well being_
_through Yoga practice for all ages,_
_meditation practice in any time of day to_
_induce calm and relaxation._
