Aims and Objecliv

The main activities we undertak¢ are as set down in this statemenL The Tntstees have Considered the
Charity Con]mi&8ion's guidance on public F*nefit and are satisfied that the Ckwity's aim5 and
aclivities meet the criteria set.
Aehievements and PerformaDee
l. In our view, the band has Met all objectives and in many res￿ we have achieved wfomiance
well in excess of those objectives.
2. Our view is evidenced by:

b. People of all ages joining the band to learn to play. we have new m¢mbers still at Primary
school and others who are of retirement age.
We returned to ¢v¢ning rehearsals after the lifting of Covid restridions dwing the year.
We also returned to learner tuitiow tK)th &s a group and to individuals.
e. Training band rehearse each Friday ev¢niog where ￿SsIble- often with up 10 30 players in a
rehearsal.

l. Cheltenham Silver Band adopted a c4)nstitution that n￿ets all the guidelines given by the Clwities
Commission when it registered as a Charitable in¢0￿￿>[ated organisation (CIO) on 3 June 2021.
2. Trwstees are appointed for a tern) of 3 year by a resolution p&wd at a properly convened meeting of
the charity tnths.
3. tn additio￿ the l)and appoints a Musical Director. who is resry)nsible for ￿ndUCting rehearsals, the
selection of music and the band's concert and contest ￿Orn￿nCeS.

4. Cheli¢nham Silver Band is chaired by one management committee, made up of main band members,
training band members and previously parents of junior tnembers. The committee is res￿nSIble for
th¢ day to day nltming of all activities.
