The main activity was to raise money to help the school in particular, a payment was made to sponsor current students and old students to perform an educative play – ‘Merchant of Venice’ – at Budo, and this is clearly listed or identified in the annual accounts |
| Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit |
Para 1.18 | In planning and deciding the activity to carry out for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meeting also known as the ‘OBA Executive Meeting’ This activity benefited the current students and teachers as it provided a chance and an experience to gain to perform at the National Theatre with already experienced actors who are at the same time old students at the school. The theme of the play was Mental Health Awareness. This also provided students and teachers at Kings College Budo and Budo Junior School information and awareness of issues faced by metal heathy people and how to deal with them in communities like a boarding schools. |

Para 1.38 | We have also highlighted a few areas that need social investment, and a committee has been setup to come up with social activities to get old Budonian together and in turn raise funds for this charity. |
