In planniNJ our adNitits for the year, we kept in mind the Charity
Commission's guidan￿ on public benefft at our trustee meetings.
The main activities are as follows: _
Provision of athletics facilities to benefft young people between 5 and 18;
provision of football facilities for a wide age range from under 5s to over
65s and provision of green space for all members of the local community
to enjoy exeruse and fresh air through ￿val￿.ng, jogging and dog walking
for example.

Achievements and performance
Summary ofthe main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Our main achievement in the year ending 31st March 2023 has been to
continue to provide f*ilities for young and okl to take part in sports
actsvit￿S such as athletics and football. We do this through our member
(Yganizatiow￿, which are Sale Harriers. Sale United and Otd
Altrinthamians. all of these dubs are OFen to members of the local
ommunty. We strive to make these adivÈties as afftirdable as possible.
To thts end, we have agreed the terms of a 25-year lease on Crossford
Bridge Swrts Ground with Trafftlrd CounrAI. The lease will be subjec* to
a Communty Use Agreement for the s.rte arKI an agreement that the land
will be rewered with Fields in TrusL which will protect this green space
for peo[* to enjoy in Fwetuty.
The dIS￿l8s￿)nS have continued wth the Football Foundation and
Tpfft>rd Council about converting one of the existing grass football
pitches into a floodlrt artfficial grass ptich. which will extend the usage of
the sports ground signtficantly throughout the late Autumn. Winter and
8arly Spring, when, at present, usage is largely restricted to V￿kends.
A fram￿rk agreement has been signed and a planning a￿lCatiOn has
been submitted. It is hOp￿d that funding can be put in place for this
develownent to stsrt in 2023r24 season.
In weparation ts the extra responsibilriies of lease hokling, we have
bought our own grass cuÈter and quadraplay. This was partialty grant
funded *ryll enable us to bnng much more of the ground maintenan
work iTrh<xJse.
Our support for Trafford Veterans Association has continued and this
has enabted them to extend their offerings at Crossford Bridge to indude
the provision of hot lunches every Friday. We have also been able to
offer part-time emtAoyment for two Veterans on an ongoing basis.
We have also ¢orrtinued to wovide dassroom space and football pttches
for the Football Academy. 1-Sp￿ts. to provMl6 education to Btec level for
young people in the local community.
Finally. ￿ used some of our major development funds to improve
significanty the safety at our main car park entrance by removing a traffic

Brief statement of the
charitys policy on reserves
At 31103r23 the CBMA had net assets of £23.456 in its general fund and
£47,678 held in a Reserrfe Fund speufically identified for major
developments at the stie and separatety £6,727 specifically for the
proposed 3G ￿tch develownent. The general furKI is held at a level to
cover 4 Mon￿ operational costs in the event of a loss of income and to
meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur.

Our main sources of income are our management fee from Trafford
Council and membership fees from Sale United, Sale Harriers and Old
Attrinchamians.
Other income streams are deve5oped in order to keep the membership
as low as possible to enable the Clubs in tum to keep their fees as
affordable as possible.

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
