CHAIR PERSONS REPORT – Nicola Green
We have held a total of 8 virtual committee meetings since the last Chairs report.
I have continued to support the Pre School management team through regular telephone conversations in addition to the regular online video meetings.
All the staff have continued to work hard and continue to step up to the challenges our EYS faces.
Special mention must go to Vicki and Sarah who have in my opinion gone above and beyond to support the setting and the staff during this year.
Vicki has engaged with local food suppliers to secure donations to continue to support our families and children within the setting with healthy nutritious foods.
It has been my pleasure to be part of this journey for all the pre school staff and it has been very special to watch the pre school grow and the children engage in new ‘sometimes messy’ activities.
Several fundraising events have been held throughout the year with some new ideas coming through from all staff on ideas to revamp and change some of our annual events.
We have started to trial holiday clubs and looking to the future are thinking about wrap around care for our families, we need to consider ideas on raising fees due to the extreme pressure of raising costs to run the setting.
The biggest asset to the pre-school continues to be its staff. We are incredibly lucky to have a dedicated and motivated team managed by Vicky, many of whom have now been with the pre school for quite a few years.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff for their dedication to the pre-school.
