Annual Report for the period 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 Charity name= Leadenham Willage Hall 2000 Chaiity registration number: 1194574 Objectives and Activities The object of the charitable In(￿rpOrated organisation is provisron and maintenance of a village hall for use by the residents of Leadenham and neighbouriro villages. A variety of classes (y(yJa, Pilates, ballet etc) are held in the village hall on a weekly basis. The hall is booked for use by a local amateur dramatic company on a seasonal basis from September until February and is booked for private use induding parties, aflemoon teas, meetings throughout the year. The village hall committee organise live music events. themed evenings, craft fairs throughout the year for the benefit of the community. The committee maintsin the upkeep of the hall and ￿rry out mandatory checks as required. Leadenham Village Hall 2000 has complied with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 in having due regard to public benefft guidance published by the Charity Comrnission. Achievements and Perfomiance Bookings for the hall remain high with some part of every day in use. Feedback from hirers is good. Live music events attract upwards of 100 people each time and themed evenings seat 60+ The facilities are maintained to a high standard with regular cleaning and safety checks on equipment, stage and lighting etc C2rrted out on a regular basis. Close working relationships are mainlained with the Local Authority and the Parish Council. The villaJe hall is the only social venue in the village due to the dosure of the pub and the tea shop after Covid. The committee are all volunteers and actively give their titne and energies to providing a social hub frJr the residents. Financial Review Al the end of the financial year, we hal received £19.305. A substantial proportion of this was frorn the regular bookings for hall hire. The remaining income was from event income and some donations. Expenditure for the financial year was £17.476. Repair5 to the hall so Ihat it remains safe to use by the community. utility costs (water. electricity. oil), cleaning and general Maintenan￿ totalled £10.248.
