**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION OF THE BIODIVERSITY OF THE CENTRAL ARCTIC OCEAN'S INTERNATIONAL WATERS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ARCTIC CIRCUMPOLAR PEOPLES' BENEFIT AND THE WIDER GLOBAL PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY:1.1 CONDUCTING OR COMMISSIONING MARINE WILDLIFE AND ECOSYSTEM RESEARCH AND PROMOTING THE PROGRESS AND PUBLICATION OF SUCH RESEARCH;1.2 PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES TO POLICY-MAKERS, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS, RESEARCH GROUPS AND UNIVERSITIES, AND THE WIDER INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC; AND1.3 PROMOTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MARINE RESERVE STATUS (OR NEAREST EQUIVALENT) FOR THE INTERNATIONAL WATERS OF THE CENTRAL ARCTIC OCEAN BY INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT.

**Activities:** 90 North Foundation's objective is to inform and catalyse the international policy-making process through which a North Pole Marine Reserve can be established for the Central Arctic Ocean's high seas. To deliver this outcome, the Foundation secures funds from philanthropists, corporates, grant-awarding bodies, and the public for relevant marine research, public education and conservation advocacy.
