Advantage! aims to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of young people and adults in Barrow-in-Furness and the South Lakes areas, through the medium of rugby league, multi-sports, wellbeing activities and healthy lifestyle initiatives. Advantage! aim to support people who suffer disadvantages and now deliver a programme of sport and wellbeing activities to over 800 people per week.
Objects: 3.1. The Promotion Of Community Participation In Healthy Recreation For The Public Benefit Of The Community Of Barrow-In-Furness And South Lakes Areas, By The Provision Of Facilities, Coaching And Playing Of Rugby League And Other Associated Sports And Activities.3.2. To Provide Or Assist In Providing Facilities For Sport, Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Such Persons Who Have Need For Such Facilities By Reason On Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life;and3.3. To Promote Other Such Purposes Recognised As Charitable Under The Laws Of England And Wales As The Trustees See Fit From Time To Time.
