It was founded in July 2018, and became a registered charity in May 2021. ## Structure & Governance ## **Eldership** The church operates under a plurality of elders. At present four elders are in position, although there is provision for additional elders should the church grow to a sufficient size to necessitate increased leadership. **Elder / Pastor:** Matthew Hobbs **Elder / Teacher:** Ian Fox **Assistant Elder** Dennis Scott **Assistant Elder** Jonathan Bourne ## **Officers** Two additional officers served, on a voluntary basis, during 2022: **Treasurer:** Danielle Odojukan **Safeguarding Officer:** Nicola Bell ## **Trustees** Three appointed trustees continue to oversee the charity. Two form the leadership of the church, for which the charity represents, the third trustee is independent of the church. **Trustee 1:** Matthew Hobbs **Trustee 2:** Ian Fox **Trustee 3:** Daniel Arnold Further recruitment of trustees would be initiated by the existing trustees in the event of: - An existing trustee stepping down - The death of an existing trustee ## **Governance** _Page 2_ _Calvary Chapel Maidstone_ The church is governed by its constitution which places the day-to-day running of the charity in the hands of the elders, Matthew Hobbs, Ian Fox, Dennis Scott and Jonathan Bourne. ## Activities & Objectives The activities undertaken during the year include: - Family Church Services - Homegroup, Study and Prayer groups - Children’s Ministry (Sunday school) - Crèche - Outreach (Evangelism – outside of the church building) ## Achievements & Performance The achievements and performance during the year include: - Change in congregation – some families have left, new families have joined - The continued teaching of the Bible - The public declaration of the gospel, both in public meetings and street evangelism - The continuation of public meetings at Hermitage Park Community Centre (address above) – available to all members of the public - The dedication of one child - The continuation of homegroup meetings, ladies’ ministry and men’s ministry - Appointment of a new accounts officer - The continued attention to safeguarding measures as outlined in our policy ## Financial Review The giving received by the church during 2023 was £31,971.02, and the expenditure was £20,089.63.
