Ardal Gweinidogaeth Bro Moelwyn Elusen 1194476 Adroddiad Blynyddol 2024 Bro Moelvryn Ministry Area Charbty No: 1194476 Annual Report 2024 CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT Chairperson's report for 2024 On the mission front, 2024 has given us some hope for the future, with a number of new. younger, active attendees, joining us in St David's Blaenau Ffestiniog, St Madryn's Trawsfynydd and Holy Trinity Penrhyndeudraeth. The hope is that they V¥ill attrad more. Thankfully they are mostly people with their 'Y8et on the ground" peop18 concemed about socielal wellbeing and are not fundamentalist leaning zealots. There are an awful lot of conspiracy theorisL narrow "crazy kingdom" worshippers out there. who see everything in the world as black or white. As a church we continue to explore ourtheology, trying to make it real and relevant for the 21st century; balancing the need for practicalty, spirituality and societal a(￿ptability. The financial position of the MA is still very drfficult, as the BMF continues to rise, whilst income at best remains static. We are dipping into our reserves at an alaming rate, as are most other MAS. As a diocese we are promised a major review I reduction in 2025, which hopefully will relieve the pressure. We are fortunate in having newly retired clergy in our MA, together ￿llth The Revd. Hilary Savage; allowing flexibility in our service rotas. and a broader range of churchmanship. The membership work very hard to maintain our churches, and church communities. Annette Evans has been appointed an Anna Chaplain, and coordinates much of the pastoral work, as well as being MA safeguarding officer. We have an excellent MA treasurer in Melody Preston. A number of churth members work with church children's groups in Holy Trinity. The members of our churches work well together as a team. I thank them for all their hard work. Approved by: . The Revd. Canon Roland Bames Chair Date.. - 21Pa8e
