## **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document**

Dream for Trees is a tree planting charity, a grass roots organisation that looks to make a difference to the environment by working locally wth the public and other organisations.

We seek land, predominantly in urban or Green Belt locations and we project manage tree planting on these sites.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

The specific methodology of planting we use, names after a Japanese botanist who devised the approach, is call Miyawaki. It proposes densely packed trees, up to 6 per metre, to quicken the carbon sequestration process and to increase the biodiversity when compared to a natural wooded area.

We provide the expertise in terms of the tree selection and equally the funding of the trees themselves. We organise the volunteers and the planting days.

The public benefit from cleaner air and increased biodiversification. They benefit from being able to actively participate in improving their neighbourhood and the wider global warmer issues.
