**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN TEXTILES, FABRIC, CLOTHS, THREADS AND YARNS AND THEIR DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:A) ENCOURAGING PARTICIPATION AND INCLUSION AT EVENTS, SUCH AS FESTIVALS; ANDB) SUPPORTING ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN THE PROVISION OF ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES, WHICH TAKE PLACE PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE LANCASHIRE REGION.

**Activities:** Taking place every two years across East Lancashire in public spaces, galleries & historic buildings,  the British Textile Biennial  commissions artists to make & present work in the context of the area. The festival is underpinned by a year-round programme of research, residencies & community engagement projects.
