The foodbank may from time to time support other local organisations in providing food to those in financial hardship. In addltlon the foodbank provides support and signposting to other services. The foodbank has built considerable public support with regular donations being made through the Portland Supemarkets and Churches In addition the foodbank has built up slrong contacts with local authorities and other care-givers who provid8 referral services to the foodbank.
