Constitution
The Brodrick Trust was registered as a charity on 11[th] May 2021, number 1194412.
Our Objectives and Activities
In planning the activities of the organisation, the Trustees have due regard to their duty to meet the Charity Commission’s requirements about public benefit. The Trustees ensure that the objective and aims of the organisation are carried out through its activities for the public benefit and details its achievements and activities in this report.
The object of the Charity is:

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music for the public benefit including, but not exclusively, by:

Supporting the preservation, restoration and maintenance of Leeds Town Hall and the Leeds Town Hall organ.
The aims of the Charity are:

To engage in fundraising by means of applications to other trusts and foundations

To engage in fundraising from individuals.

To support associated cultural and educational projects in Leeds Town Hall, such as joint projects with the Leeds Organ School, the Royal College of Organists and Education Leeds, that are designed to engage and enrich the lives of those living in Leeds as well as visitors to the City.

To support and enable future generations to continue to access and enjoy high quality events that embrace a wide range of live music in the City’s most iconic building.
Achievements and performance
1. Achievements
This year The Brodrick Trust charity has continued to raise funds for the restoration of the organ situated in Leeds Town Hall.
The Trust has continued to find that fundraising from private donations, trusts and foundations and corporate sponsors is very competitive.
The organ pipe adoption scheme, which now features the redecorated façade pipes and renewed stops, continues to generate income through regular payment by individuals to the Brodrick Trust
.
Now that the work on the Town Hall renovation and Organ restoration are well underway, interest in the project has been reignited and the Trust is looking towards various membership schemes from both individuals and from corporate sponsors for sustainable funding.
2. Performance
Fundraising and Income Generation
2024/25 saw the Brodrick Trust raise £2,263.86 from individual donations. This included £1,750 from two individual donors who adopted façade pipes or organ stops.
The remaining donations were from the Town hall audience.
Structure, Governance and Management
The Brodrick Trust’s governing document is a CIO Foundation Constitution. The Trust constitution requires a minimum of 3 Trustees and there are currently 6 Trustees who meet on a regular basis to review financial performance and plan future activity.
