**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY TO PROMOTE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN EDUCATION IN THE APPRECIATION AND KNOWLEDGE OF CLASSICAL MUSIC HERITAGE AND HISTORICALLY-INFORMED PERFORMANCE PRACTICE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO UK BASED PERIOD ENSEMBLES AND FREELANCE MUSICIANS SPECIALISING IN REPERTOIRE FROM THE MEDIEVAL, RENAISSANCE, BAROQUE, CLASSICAL AND EARLY ROMANTIC PERIODS.

**Activities:** Continuo Foundation supports a flourishing of artistic activity across the UK, helping period-instrument ensembles to bring live music to more diverse audiences in more places. Continuo invests in musicians and their professional development through project grants awarded on a competitive basis; and provides the Continuo Connect digital platform to serve musicians, festivals and growing audiences.
