The Wanstead Charity
Annual Report for the Year Ending 31[st] August 2023
During the year the Trustees and volunteers continued with their main objectives of helping those in need, because of homelessness or domestic violence, with basic hygiene, clothing and food.
Regular Outreach sessions were held and liaison with other local charities, led to contacts with other victims and vulnerable people who were provided with specific help.
The volume of need was such that the limited availability of trustees and volunteers was spent providing help and not fundraising. This meant that the Charity relied on its accumulated capital reserve.
Post the date of this report, the Trustees set about a number of fundraising and awareness initiatives which have enabled us to replenish our reserves.
