The Charityls governed by 2 main documents, which are the 'Village Church Constitution, and 'VSllage Church Handbook,. both of whlch were adopted on 2511121 as part of the submlssion to become an independent charlty. Thls constitutes as an Incorporated charity. Recrultment and *ppolntment of new TrusteeslEld•rs/Dg4con5 The Church's appolntment of Elders and a Treasurer are the Managing Trustee5 of the Charlty. The ManagSn8 Trustees are selected on thelr membership and posltlon withSn the Church and are elected by a malorlty vote of members present at a Members, MeetinB166% for Elder5 and Deacons). Elders and Deacons are elected for an Indefinlte perlod. At Villa8e Church the Managlng Trustees are the Elders Ilncluding the Pastor) and the Treasurer (who Is a Deacon) who have been appointed IPastorl or elected IElders/Treasurerl by those people who have been admitted into full membership of Vlllage Church. The Mana8ln8 Trustees are responsible for maklng decSslon5 on all matters of general concern and Importance to the Church, Includln8 deciding on how the funds are to be spent over the year. Oeacon posltlons are appointed to support In overseeing the practlcal running of the Charity to support the Managlng Trustees. All those who can a8ree wlth our basls of falth and submit to the Church rules are encouraged to apply to become members of the Church. On 6, May 2021, Village Churth was forme(l a5 a separate CIO Charity. The rlsk management revlew has Identllled that financlal sustalnablllty is the malor financlal rlsk lor the Charlty. A key element Sn the management of flnanclal risk Is the re8ular revlew of reserves and the abllity of Ilquld fund5 t0 settle debts as they fall due. Prayer, and Communlt¥ Village Church offer a range of services durlng the week over the course of the year. Vlllage Church hold servlces on Sunday mornlngs, where the CDn8regation and vlsitors can sing, and hear the Bible bein8 tauBht and can see how it can be applied to our day to day lives. In addltlon, the Church place5 an important emphasis on and prayer and bSble study. There Is opportunity on Frlday momlngs for people to pray online together, as well as prayer meetln approxlmately twice a month on a Sunday afternoon. There are also Homegroups where we study the Blble on Tuesday or Wednesday evenln8S throughout each term. We continue to offer opportunltles for our Youth to meet soclally together and other times to explore and asked questlon5 about the Christian falth, Over the past year, we have continued to encourage one another and have been explorln8 how we can engage and 5UPPOrt the community. Last Chrlstmas, we reached out to local prlmary schoo15 to see how we could help provlde food vouchers for families who were 5truggllng. The Church Premlses Vlllage Church, Emersons Green does not own it5 own premlses and therelore we meet at our primary locatlon, a local PrSmaiy school: Mangotsfleld Primary School. Mlsslon and Evan8ellsm During the year, we held speclal servlces.. Remembrance Service and Chr15tmas Servlces that proved popular,. for example, a Tradltlonal Carol SeNlce and èn All-A4e Carol Servlce. In the local maBazlne we place an artlcle usually at least once a quarter to advertlse our serv15 and events. Staffln8 Village Church has two members of staff: a Pastor and trainee Pastor. They were funded by the Vllla8e Church, Emersons Green for thi5 financlal year. Outslde relatlonshlps Village Church continues to be a member of the FIEC and adopts the Basis of Faith as its own. We are also part of the Southwest Gospel Partnership, We are seeking to bulld relationshlps wlth other local Churches In the surrounding area.

We would like to thank all our volunteers who seNe in setting up each weel music, audio visual, refreshments, Chlldren's work and Youth Clubs to name a few. Tralnlni Child Safeguarding training is arranged for new volunteers supportlng Children and Youth work and refresher tralning Is run as required for existing volunteers. As and when traSnlllg needs are Identified, we will endeavour to ensure people attend approprlate trainin& for example Flrst Ald. Flnanclal revl•w For the perlod of I" Aprll 24 to 31. March 2025, Ihe account5 were fully managed by the Vlllage Church, Emersons Green. The financial report will reflect the funds that Vlllage received from I" April 2024 to 31" March 2025. Durlng this perlod, the income wa5 £149,843 and expendlture wa5 £125,191. There was a surplus of £24,652 for the year. We are, carrying over funds of £76,720 into the followln8 flnanclal year. We are thankful and grateful for the generous glfts of our members and congregatlon.
