The trustees present their annual report and financial ststements of the charity for the year
ended 30 June 2024. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with
Charities Act 2011 and the Statement of Recomrnended Practice 2(M)8.
Strurturefft governance and man4ement
The foundation is a registered charity. number 1194330. and is constituted under a trust
deed dated 4 May 2021.
New trustees are appointed by the existing trustees and serve for three years after which
they may put themselves forward for re-appointment.
At the trustee meetings, the trustees agree the broad strategy and areas of activity for the
foundation, including consideration of grantmakin8, investment. resepées. risk management
polices and performance.
We have an application process where our application form is to be completed and is
reviewed at the trustee meeting5 to decide rfthe applicatii)n is successful and the grant can
be awarded.
All trustees give their time freely and no trustee remuneration was paid in the year.
ObJLYtlves and Activitles for the publ1¢ benefrt
The Charities objectives is to promote community participation in healthy recreation in
Medway. Kent and the surrounding areas. in particular by the provision of grants to provide
and assist in the provision of facilities and opportuntties for the plawng of various sports.
This year we have been able to SUPPOrt a number of individua15 and organisations with
grants to continuing their interest in sporting artivities.
The trustees have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Cornmission on public
benefit.
Grant-making polky
The Foundation ha5 a grant making policy to achieve its objects for the public benefit and
lrnprove the young people of Medway and Kent and to encourage them into sporting

activities.
Beneficiaries are generally young people and clubs and or8anisations that support young
people in sporting activities.
Application are encoura8ed from xhools and clubs to aim to support young people who
would otherwise be able to participate in their chosen sporting activity-
Financlal Revlew
The trustee is reliant on fundraising and donations. At the end of June 2024 the charity had
£14,053 in unrestricted funds.
Trustees, respon5ibilitles In relation to the firhinclal statements
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustee'5 Report and the financval
statements in accordance with the applicable law and United Kingdom Accountin8
Standards. The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to
prepare financial statements for the financial year whith give a true and fair view of the
State of the affairs of the Charity and of the incoming resources and applications of
resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements. the
trustees are required to:
Select 5Ultable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles of the Charities SORP
make judgment5 and estimates that are ￿asOnable and prudent
state whether the applicable accounting standards have been followed. subjert to
any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements- and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unle55 it is inappropriate
to presume the charity will continue in busine55.
The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charity and enable them to ascertain to
ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charite5 Act 2011. the Charity
(Accounts and Reports) Re8ulation5 2iJ)8 and the provision5 of the trust deed. They are
also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detertion of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the
charity and financial information included on the charity's website.
