schools were still closed in Uganda. We
ran an education programme for children to
be able to continue their learning during a
time when education wasn’t readily
available.
On Saturdays we have run community
activity days which involved playing games,
sports, educational activities, tutoring for
anyone who needed it.
Towards the end of the year, we started
adult education classes. These were to
teach basic English and maths skills as
well as teaching adults how to write an
effective CV in order to apply for jobs. After
completion, a certificate of participation
was given for each person to use in
