OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The Charity's purposes as set out in the Articles of Aqsociation are the promotion
of community participation in healthy revrealion for the publi
bcncfit in London in particular by thc provision of facilitics {building; cquipmcnt;
access to coaching and organising sporting activities) to participale in boxing,
together with associated titnesslgym activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Boxing Development and Community Engagement
Fitzroy Lodge continues to play an active role ii) supporting young people referred by
Carney's Community, a valued partner organisation that works with disadvantaged
and excluded youth. This collaboration remains central to our misqion of using boxing
as a positivc forcc for pcrsonal growth and social inclusion.
Over the past year, four young participants from Carney's Community proudly
represented the club in coinpelilive bouts
a testament to their dedication and the
effecliieness of the joiiit development patliway we have built iogeilier. Through
structured training, mentoring, and competition, these young athletes have developed
greater Confidence, diqcipline, and r¢silien¢¢ within a safe and en¢ouraging
environment that place5 their well-being at its cure.
In addition, the club continues to support young men]bers in achieving their Level 2
and L£vel 3 coaching qualifications. These accoinplishments empower them to lead
their own classes, furthcr cnliaiicing their confidence, skills, and contribution lo thc
club's outreach and mentoring activities.
Membership Growth and Outreach
The club has continued to expand its membership by strengthening links with local
schools. colleges, and community groups. These partnerships have helped introduce
mor¢ young people to th¢ b¢n¢fits of boxing in a structured, supportive setting.
We are also proud to deliver iailored boxing qeqsions for two Special Educatioiial
Nccds {SEN) schools- Fairlcy Housc and Roots and Shoots. Working in collaboration
with local tcachcrs. the club promotcs thc physical and mclltal bcncfits of structurcd
boxing training within a supportive environment.
We are also grateful lo Diversity Media Sales, who have generously sponsored the
jui)ior sessions for a full year, enabliiig young boxers lo train free of charge.
This initiative ha.q removed financial barriers and encouraged greater participation
from local youth.
International Exposure and Transformative Experiences
This sumtner, the club organised a successtul trip to New York, offering boxers and
¢oaches an inspiring int¢rnational ¢xpeTi¢nce. The visit was particularly impactful for
those Iravelling abroad for the first lime, broadening their hori20ns and strengthening
camaraderie within the team. A partnership was formed with a local New York boxing
club, with both sidcs cagcr to build on this succcss and rcpcat ihc cxchangc.

Partnerships and Professional Development
Through our partnerships Thlth Diversity Media Sales and Manning Gottlieb OMD, we
have strengthened the 'Champions Initiative, an internship programme providing
young adultq with opportunities for learning, development, and profesqional growth.
Participants gain industry-rccogniscd accrcditations, hands-on cxpcricncc, and thc
chance to build nctwoiks within the media sector.
A notable success of this initiative is Ricco Robb, who continues to thrive in his
full-lime role as a Trainee Business Executive with Diversity Media Sales.
Community Ei'ents and Showcases
The Club haq recently hoqted three su¢ceqsful boxing qhows. in¢liiding two al
Carncy's Conllnunity and onc prominent cvent at the Old Bailey in the City uf London.
In addition, the club recently reopened after several months of much_needed
renovations, wliich have sigiificaiiily iinproved the training environment and facilities
for all mcinbcrs. To mark this important milcstonc. Fitzroy Lodgc hosted a special
reopcning event attended by donors, supporters, and former boxers. The occasion
cclcbratcd thc club's hcritagc, thc gcncrosity of thosc who conlributcd to its
returbishmenL and the renewed commitment to providing a safe: inspiring space
for the next generation of boxers.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNAiNCE AiYD MA]%AGEMENT
The Charity is a company limited by guarantee. It operates under the rules of
its Articles of Association dated 26th April 2021. Thc Charity rcgistcrcd at the
Charity Commission on 26th April 2021. It has no sharc capital and ihc liability
of cach mcmbcr in the cvcnt of winding up is limitcd to £1.
The Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Articles ot Association.
New Trustees joining the Board are given appropriate briefing of their obligations
under company and charity law and on the contents of the Articles of Association.
They are also referred to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on the role
of Ihc Ch￿ilY Ttuslee.
Thc main risk to thc Charity is a failurc to gcncratc sufficicnt incon]c from
subscriptions to finance its operations. The Tnistees are satisfied that the major
risks have been rnitigated as far as possible bui the Board recognises that it must
keep these risks under constant review if the Charity is to continue to operat¢.
In this connection, the controls in place include regular updates to Trustees
on our financi<il po.qition, the preparation of formal agendas for Board meetings
which highlight areas of concern arhd fornial approval procedures for financial and
strategic decisions.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
Community Engagement and Inclusive Opportunities
Thc cliib will continuc to offcr classcs dcsigiicd for Lion-compctitivc mcn]bcrs,
promoting inclusivity and cncouraging participation across all agcs dnd abilitics.
In the coming year, the club aims to increase participation among wonien, older adults,
and those new to the sport, promoting boxing as a tool for well-being and personal
growth. By maintaining affordable ineimbership options and exploriiig fuiiding
opportunities, the club strives to remove fillancial and social barriers thut Inight
othenvise prevent local residents from taking part.
Wc plan to collaboratc with local community organisations and schools to cxpand
outreach and encourage engagement among underrepresented groups. These etyorts
will help the club continue its long-standing tradition of using sport to foster inclusion,
disciplin¢, and positive change within the con]munity.

Future Events and Fundraislng Inltlatlves
Looking ahead, Ihe club plans lo hosl three guaranteed open shows during the upcoming
boxing season, NN'ith thc possibility of adding a fourth subjcct to otTicial availability.
These events will provide opportunitieq to qhowcase our boxers and engage further with
thc community. Additionally, thc club intcnds to host at Icast onc dinncr boxing show,
combining entcrtaitunent with tundraising to support our ongoing progran]mes and
initiatives.
International Exposure and Transformative Experiences
Plans are underway for another international trip to America, where the club will
collaborate once again with a New York boxing cliib to arrange competitive bouts for
our senior boxer5. Thi5 initldtive aims to build on prewious successes, uffeiing
participants invaluable international exposure, cultural exchange, and personal growth
opportunities- particularly for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Success of the Carney's Cup and Future Plans
The Carney's Cup continues to be a highlight of the club's calendar, providing a
compctitivc yct supportivc platform for young boxcrs. Thc ncxt cvcnt is provisionally
scheduled for February 2026.
Professional Development and Internship Opportunities
Fitzroy Lodg¢ remains firmly committ¢d to its internship and professional developm¢nt
programmes, continuing to offer young people paihways to gain valuable experience,
practical skills, and access to profesqional netl4Torks. These iiiitiatives remain central
to thc club's mission to dcvclop wcll-roundcd individuals both insidc and
outsidc thc ring.
Lease and Long-Term Seeurity
The club finalised ternis to renew its lease, ensuring the long-lerni stability of its
operatioiib. Solicitors are eurrently reviewii)g the colltraet before signature.
The ARCH Company, which holdq the lease, recognises the significant community
impact of Fitzroy L(Idge- particularly ils valued partnerships and ils ongoing
commitsncnt to supporting young pcoplc.

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in Carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and
Reporting by Charities Staternent ot Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Rq)ublic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l Jaiiuary 2019)
(Charities SORP (FRS 102,)) the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republi¢ of Ireland (FRS 103) and Ihe Companies Act 2006.
Fitzroy Lodge ABC meets the defLnition of a public benefits entity under FRS 102.
Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value
unless oilienvise stated in the relevant accounting policy.
1.2 Company status
The Charity is a company limited by guarnntee. The members of the charity are the
Trustees named on page l. In the event of the Charity being would Upy the liability in
respect of the guarantee is limited to £1 per member of tbe Charity.
