OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The Charity's pury)oses as set out in the Articles of Association are the promotion
of Community participation in healthy recreation for the public
benefit in London in particular by the provision of facilities (building,. equipment-
acce5S to coaching and oiganising sporting activities) to participate in boxing,
togcther with associatcd fitncsslgym activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
A continued improvement in the Charity's financial po.qition enabled the funds

Boxing Development and Community Eng#gement
The club is proud to provide training opportuiiities for young people referred by
Carney's Community, a charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged and
excluded youth. Over the past year, five participants from Carney's Community
rcprcscnted Fitzroy Lodgc in competitive boxing bout5. Thi5 milcstonc hI￿ll￿ts.
the strong and ongoing collaboration between Fitzroy Lodge and Camey's
Coinmunity, whieh fosters the holistic development of young people in a vibrant
and supportive environmeni that prioritizes their health, safety, and well-being.
Additionally, several young participants have successfully completed their Level 3
coaching qU<11ifications. This achieveinent empower8 theii) to lead their own
classes, further enhancing their skills and confidence while contributing to the
club's comtnunity outreach.
Membership Growth and Outreach
The club continues to grow its membership through proactive engagement with
local schools and colleges. Our active website serves as a hub for promoting club
facilities, events, and achievemenLs, ensuring a strong connection with the wider
coinmunity.
Partnerships and Professional Development
Through our partnership with Diversity Media Sales and Manning Gottlieb OMD,
we have strcngthencd thc 'Champions Initiativc,, an intcrnship programme
designed to provide young adults with learning and development opportunities.
Participants gain industry accreditations, hands-on work experience, and the
chance to build professional networkq within the Media industry. A key success of
this initiative is Ricco Robb, who now works full-time as a Trainee Business
Executive with Diversity Media Sales.
Community Events and Showcases
The club has recently hosted three successful boxing shows, including two at
Carney's Community ￿]d one particularly pioininent event al the Old Bailey in
the City of London.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Th¢ Cl)arity is a company limited by guarantee. It op¢rates under the rules of
its Articles of Association dated 26th April 2021. The Charity registered at the
Charity Conunission on 26th April 2021. It hd5 no shdre cdpital und Ihc liability
of cach mcmbcr in thc cvcnt of winding up is limitcd to £1.
The Trustees are appointed in accordanec with the Articles of Association.
New Trustees joining the Board are given appropriate briefing of their obligations
under company and charity law and on the contents of the Articles of Association.
They are also referred to guidance issued by the Charity Cominissioii oli ihe role
of thc Charity Trustee.
The main risk to the Charity is a failure to generate sufficient income from
subscriptions to finance its operations. The Trustees are satisfied that the major
risks have been miti¥ated as far as possible but thc Board rccognises that it must
keep these risks under constant review if the Charity is lo continue to operate.
In this coiinection, the Controls in place include regular updates lo Trustees
on our fin£incial position, the preparation of fornial agendaq for Board Ineetings
which highlight areas of conLcni ￿]d formal approval proccduics for fiiiancial ￿]d
strategic decisions.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
Community Engagement and Inclusive Opportunities
The club offers additional classes designed for noii-compelitive members, promoting
inclusivity and encouraging widcr participation within thc community.
In addition, the club provides free boxing sessions tailored for SEN (Special
Educational Needs) young people attending a local training organization for vulnerable
youth. By collaborating with local schoolteachers, the club continues to promote the
physieal and mental benefits of engaging in a structured boxing club environment.
Future Events and Fundraising Initiatii'es
Looking ahead, the cliib plans to liosl up to foiir open shows during the boxing season.
These events ￿]1] provide opportunities to showcase our boxers and furtlier engage the
community. The club plans to host at least one dinner boxing show to highlight the
talent of our amateur boxers while raising funds to support the club's ongoing initiatives.

Success of the Carney's Cup and Future Plans
The club co-hosted the highly successful Carney's Cup competition in partnership
with Mosq Side Fire at the prestigiouq Old Bailey. This event garnered significant
allenlion and raised subslanlial funds for the club. Senior officials from the British
Boxin¥ Board of Control were among Ilie attendees. reflecting the high profile of
the event.
To build on this success, the club intends to alternate the venue for future shows
between London and Manchester. Arrangements are already in progress for a
repeat show al the Old Bailey, ensuring the continuation of this celebrated event.
International Exposure and Transformative Experiences
Thc club is planning an upcoming trip to America is coordinating with a boxin¥
cliib in New York to arrange matches for our senior boxers. This initiative is designed
to broaden their horizons, provide international exposure, and support their growth both
in and out of the ring. Similar trips in the past have offered invaluable experiences.
especially for disadvantaged youth who had never travelled abroad before, offering
them a tranqformative arid enriching experience.
Professional Development and Internship Opportunities
Fitzroy Lodge remains dedicated to its intcrnship programme, providing young people
with opportunities to gain valuable skills, industy experience, and professional
networks. This initiative is a cornerstone of thc club's commitment.
Lease
The club has recently finalized tem)s to renew its lease, ensuring the long-tenn
security of its future. The ARCH Company, which holds the lease, acknowledges the
significant community impaLt of Fitzroy Lodge, including its valuable partnerships and
its essential focus on supporting young people.

As the charity's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounls in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and
Reporting by Charities Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l Jaiiuary 2019) -
(Charities SORP (FRS 102,)) the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland (FRS 103) and the Companies Act 2006.
Fitzroy Lodge ABC meets the definition of a public benefits entity under FRS 102.
Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value
unless othenvise stated in the relevant accounting policy.
1.2 Company status
The Charity is a company limited by guarantee. The members of the charity are the
Trustees named on page l. In the event of the Charity being would up, the liability in
respect of the guarantee is limited to £1 per member of the Charity.
1.3 Fund aecounting
General fvndq are unrestri¢ted funds which are available lo use at the discretion of
the Trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the Charity and which have
not been desigmated for other PUTposes.
1.4 Income
All income is recO￿lISed once the Charity is entitled lo the income, it is probable that
the income will be received and the amount of the in¢ome Can be measured
reliably.
Grants are included in the Statement of Finaneial Activities on a ieceivable basis.
Donated serviccs or facilities are recogniscd whcn the Charity has control ovcr the
item, and conditions associated with the donated item have been met, the receipt
of economic benefit from the use of the Charity of the item is probable and that
economic benefit can be measured reliably. In ac¢ordan¢e with the Chariiies SORP
(FRS 102,} the general volunteer time is not recognised.

Membership subscriptions received in the nature of a gift are recognised in
donations.
Trading income represents ineome received from classes and facilities hire.
1.5 Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer
economic benefit to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit
will be required in settl¢mcnt the amount of the obligation can be mcasured
reliably.
The Charity is not VAT registered and its expenses are therefore inclusive of VAT
which cannot be recovered.
1.6 Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are initially recogllised at cost. After recognition under the cost
rnodel, tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any
accumulatcd impairment105ses.
Depreciation is charged so as to allocate the cost of tangible fixed assets over their
estimated useful lives on a straight line basiq at the following annual rates..
