Section D                      Achievements and performance 

- REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES IN 2024-2025 

- **Summary of the main achievements of the charity** As the upgrading and renovations of the Oasis property continue, as per 

- **during the year** last year, most of the expenses have been as a result.  Further improvements to Oasis main building include: • Re-carpeted stairs and upstairs landing in main building • Continued maintenance of grounds: development of rockery in the front grounds 

- • Installation of pedestrian gate 

- • Rope rails and posts fitted to improve safety in the grounds 

- • Improvement of guest accommodation is ongoing.  The total acreage of the Oasis property is 3.5 acres.  Regular changeovers of caravans and self-catering accommodation takes place throughout the season - April to November. 

The cottage renovation is ongoing, and work continues when other prioritised work allows: 

- Lower ground level renovation completed up to plastering.  This includes electrics, plumbing and damp treatment. 

- • Lower-level bathrooms fitted and tiled. • Ground level electrics completed. 

The cottage renovation will continue in the future. 

The property continues to be used, and the following activities continue to take place: 

- Weekly Sunday morning and afternoon church meetings 

- • Christian Teaching seminars 

- • Respite holidays for individuals and families. 

- • Use of function room facility for conferences, retreats, wedding and funeral services. 

## **Section E                    Financial review** 

The trustees maintain as the previous year that £5,000.00 will be kept as **Brief statement of the** a reserve for the purpose of emergency repairs and/or maintenance.  As **charity’s policy on reserves** previously stated, this minimal amount is due to the fact that the majority of labour costs would not be included in this sum because within the trustees and the fellowship there are skilled professionals who offer their services on a voluntary basis. **Details of any funds materially** None **in deficit**

The charity continues to rely on voluntary donations from those who identify with its objective.  All income is received through donations, church offerings and the Paypal facility found on the charity’s website, which enables those who are identified with the objects of the charity, both nationally and internationally, to donate. 

The biggest expense for the charity continues to be due to the renovation of the Oasis Property, which will be the case in the foreseeable future. There remains a lot of work to be completed, both in the interior and on the grounds, so that the centre can fulfil its potential and provide a comfortable, welcoming facility for those identified with the charity, both locally, and from far. 

There is a net expenditure of -£8,706 for this accounting period, which is due to the renovation and an earnest to complete some of the work.  This amount will be offset against a sizeable donation (£100,000) which was expected before the year end and has now been received. 

## **Section F                     Other optional information** 

As well as endeavouring to reach out to the local community, and also other part of the UK, the charity continues in relationship with a mission in India, where poverty and persecution are constant obstacles slowing down their respective projects.  The trustees hope to be able to continue to offer financial support and encouragement to this group in the future. 

The Bron Wendon Church Fellowship house continues to be used for accommodating those in need.  For example: 

- Spiritual rehabilitation and housing of an individual at Bron Wendon, who has made his home here more permanent and continues to attend the church fellowship, supporting the ministry in line with the charity’s objectives. 

- Practical and spiritual support for a widowed member of the church fellowship.
