Section D                      Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES IN 2023-2024 As the upgrading and renovations of the Oasis property continue, as per last year, most of the expenses have been as a result. Further improvements to Oasis main building include:

- Decorating of Dining room

- Complete refit 2 shower rooms – 1[st] floor

- Decorating of upstairs landing

- Re-carpet one bedroom, staircase and upstairs landing

- • Continued maintenance of grounds and guest accommodation ongoing. The total acreage of the Oasis property is 3.5 acres. Regular changeovers of caravans and self-catering accommodation takes place throughout the season - April to November.

The cottage renovation is ongoing, and work continues when other prioritised work allows:

- Installation of block and beam system

- • Tanking and damp-proofing of lower ground level.

- • Building of suspended floor

The cottage renovation will continue in the future.

The property continues to be used, and the following activities continue to take place:

- Weekly Sunday morning church meetings

- Christian Teaching seminars

- Respite holidays for individuals and families.

- Use of function room facility for proposed future conferences, wedding, and funeral services.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

The trustees maintain as the previous year that £5,000.00 will be kept as **Brief statement of the** a reserve for the purpose of emergency repairs and/or maintenance. As **charity’s policy on reserves** previously stated, this minimal amount is due to the fact that labour costs would not be included in this sum because within the trustees and the fellowship there are skilled professionals who offer their services on a voluntary basis.

This year, a sum of £2000.00 was transferred out of the charity Paypal account to assist with expenditure. The transfer highlighted the fact that although mention of the Paypal account has been made in previous Financial Statements, the transactions have not been accounted for since the setup of the charity. This oversight is due to the fact that this year is the first time since the setup of the charity that Paypal funds have been used to assist with expenses.

Moving forward, Paypal funds will be accounted for in future Financial Statements.

**Details of any funds materially** None **in deficit**

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

Funds from the bank account are not only used for the renovation of the Oasis property, but also for the maintenance and running costs of Bron Wendon, the Church Fellowship house. The house continues to be used for accommodating those in need. Currently, spiritual rehabilitation and housing of an individual has developed into a more permanent situation for this individual, therefore, running costs of the fellowship house will have increased to reflect this.

The charity continues to rely on voluntary donations from those who identify with our objective. All income is received through donations, church offerings and the Paypal facility found on the charity’s website, which enables those who are identified with the objects of the charity, both nationally and internationally, to donate.

## **Section F Other optional information**

As well as endeavouring to reach out to the local community, and also other part of the UK, the charity has a developing relationship with missions in India and Pakistan, where poverty and persecution are constant obstacles slowing down their respective projects. The trustees hope to be able to continue to offer financial support and encouragement to these groups in the near future.

The Bron Wendon Church Fellowship house continues to be used for accommodating those in need. For example:

- Spiritual rehabilitation and housing of an individual at Bron Wendon (mentioned above), who has now become an integral part of the church fellowship and supports the ministry in line with the charity’s objectives.

- Practical and spiritual support for an individual recently widowed.
