**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF WOMEN AGED 18 AND OVER IN THE HERTFORDSHIRE AREA WHO HAVE BEEN RAPED, SEXUALLY ASSAULTED OR SEXUALLY ABUSED AT ANY TIME IN THEIR LIVES BY: -1) PROVIDING FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELLING OR SUPPORT THROUGH THE APPROPRIATE MEDIUM2) PROMOTING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO THE SUBJECT OF RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE AND THEIR EFFECTS ON PHYSICAL, MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, EMOTIONAL OR SOCIAL WELLBEING OF SURVIVORS;3) OBTAINING HELP AND SUPPORT WHERE NEEDED THROUGH CLOSER CONTACT WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES, HEALTH SERVICE AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS;4) SETTING UP A CO-ORDINATED GROUP OF CONTACTS TO FURTHER THE CHARITABLE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CIO;5) RAISING FUNDS AND TO INVITE AND RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ANY PERSONS BY WAY OF SUBSCRIPTIONS, DONATIONS OR OTHERWISE, PROVIDED THAT THE GROUP SHALL NOT UNDERTAKE ANY PERMANENT TRADING ACTIVITIES IN RAISING FUNDS FOR ITS CHARITABLE OBJECTS.6) AIDING IN THE ESTABLISHMENT AND SUPPORT OF ANY ASSOCIATION WHOSE CHARITABLE PURPOSES ARE IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE PURPOSES OF THE CIO OR CALCULATED TO FURTHER ITS OBJECTIVES; AND7) TO DO ALL SUCH THINGS AS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE ATTAINMENT OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS OR ANY OF THEM.
