The facility was Open in February 2023. The shed consists of a worf(shop and separate social area. It is open two momings a week providing a venue for members to soaalise and take part in both j(Jnt and individual activrties. The shed is well equipped wrih modern, safe equipment and can ac¢ommodate 12 to 15 memtrers a moming. CL)gnisant wilh suFervision and safety requirements. Items made are sold to raise funds or are memters personal projects. The sooal area enables members to meet and chat. but is also used as an area where card games can be played. The Chariiy is working in collaboration wtlh HumtEr and Wdds Rural Action (HWRA), and the Humberside Allian of Men in Sheds to ensure we are aware of, and follow. the guidan of the Charity Commission. They take part in the monthly meetings to represent any concerns members may have and to broaden the expertise of the management team. This years members acted as IT support, COSHH monitoring and organising soaal acb'vties. Member5 indude those from target dient groups, particulady those who are socially isolated. An increasing number of members are living on Iheir own and friendships developed are extending beyond the shed. We have mernrs who unfortunately have developed dementia and their attendan allows partners to have some respite. Members who are not physically or mentally able to partake in workshop aclivtties on their own are superwsed and assisted where possible.
