**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE BAND IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS AND OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC BY MEANS OF THE REHEARSAL AND PRESENTATION OF CONCERTS AND TO SUPPORT SUCH GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH (SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005) AND (SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008).

**Activities:** The Band operates in the North Devon area.  The senior band rehearses weekly and also provides musical education and training to our youth and beginner training band members.We regularly perform concerts to the public, in churches and other local venues raising funds for local charities.
