The objects of the charity are as follows
The object of the CIO is for the benefit of the public to Telieve the needs of children and young people with
autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, attention deficit h)yeractivity disorder (ADHD), their familieslcarers
(the b¢ncficiarics} in England and Wales in partioular, but not exclusively, by th¢ provision of- one to one
sessions and workshop s¢ssions that the beneficiaries Lan atl¢nd to discuss and shar¢ th¢ir issues with oihers,
in similar situations, in a welcoming setting where people will feel more at ease. referrals to appropriate
institutions where specific needs can be taken care of.
The trustees, policy is to ensure that the above aims are met to the highest possible standard.
Volunteers staff the charity, with the workload spread among some of the senior members.
The charity is funded by the gJeneral public and gTant funders which 15 been used towards the vnaintenance
and improvement of the charity's assets and promoting and achieving the charity's objects.
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to cliariiy law.

Statement of Trustees, responsibilities
The Board of Trustees has overall responsibility for ensuring The Board of Trustees are responsible for preparing
the Annual Report and the financial
statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice.
Charity law applicable to charities in England/Wales Tequires the Board of Trustees to prepare
financial statements for each financial year which gives a true and fair view of the state of
affairs of the Charity and of the surplus or deficit of the Charity for that period. In preparing
those tinancial statements the Board of Trustees have..

Made judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,
Stated whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any
material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and
Prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis (unless it LS Lnappropriate
to presume that the Charity will continue in operation that the Charity has an
appropriate systern of controls, financial and othenvise. They are also responsible for keeping
proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial
position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements coinply with
the Chariti¢% Act 1993. They are also rcsponsible for safeguarding the a$8ets of the Charity
and hence for taking reasonable step5 for the detection and prevention of fraud and other
irregularities.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and

dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of
ALEX FOUINDATION- MAINCHESTER
I report on the accounts of the Trust for year ended 31 Sl December 2024, which is set out on pages 4
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that the audit
requirement of section 43(2) of Charites Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply. It is my responsibility to state,
on the basis of the procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under
sector 43(7)(b} of the Acl, whether matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directors given by the Charity
Commissioners. An examination includes a review ot the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items
or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention: _
to keep accounting records in accordance with seetion 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, comply with the accounting
rcquircincnts of Scction 394 and 395 of tlic Coinpanics Act 2006 and with thc mcthods and
principles of the Stateinent ot. Recommended Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities have
not been met. or
