is governed by clause 9 in the CIO’s Constitution. There must be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 Trustees. New Trustees are, and will be, selected in order to best meet the needs and objectives of the charity, as and when a need arises. All new Trustees begin with a trial period of 6 months before being invited to take on a more permanent role. Ulele Andrews was appointed as a new Trustee in September 2021. John Crossley, the founder of Tiyeni Fund in 2005, with his wife Elizabeth, both decided to retire as Trustees in March 2022, following John’s 90thbirthday. They were thanked for the enormous contribution they had both made to the establishment and growth of DBF in Malawi; and for the many subsistence farmers and their families who had been, and would continue to be, taken out of food poverty as a result. |
