## **Revive Ministries Annual report year ended 31[st] March 2023**

Revive Ministries purpose is to provide Religious Activities. Revive ministries is a Church Plant operating as part of the Free Methodist Church. We have met at the Oldham Town Mission in Oldham since January 2022. The congregation from Revive Free Methodist Church and Oldham Town Mission worship together and most of the former members of Oldham Town Mission have become members of the Free Methodist Church. We provide a number of activities: -

- Weekly acts of Christian worship for all ages

- Children and young people’s Ministry

- Bible Study

- Weekly prayer meetings

- A programme of Community activities.

Since January 2022 we have grown significantly and our Christian Worship is well attended, with a good representation of ages and ethnicity. We also have a thriving Junior Church and a crèche.

We have introduced two weekly Bible Study Groups and during the year we have completed the Freedom in Christ course and also run an Alpha course.

The Community activities have included a neighbourhood litter pick and since December 2022 we have started a Walking Football Group. We work in partnership with the Trustees at the Oldham Town Mission as we are in the process of merging the Oldham Town Mission Trust with Revive Ministries.

The Worship area has been completely refurbished during the year to provide a more ‘welcoming space’. This includes the refurbishment of the toilets and a new accessible toilet. We have also introduced a more contemporary styles of worship and provided training and support as we try encourage more active participation in worship.

Given our geographical location there are regular visitors to our church and we are able, when appropriate to provide help and support to those who need this, including appropriately signposting to other agencies. The Trustees have met on a regular basis, making financial decisions regarding the trust and its Governance. The Trustees have continued to implement policies and procedures to make the building safe, including Safeguarding and DBS checking.

The majority of income has come from offerings and donations, other than a grant of £6,000 from the Free Methodist Church to cover the cost of a pastoral assistant.
