**The Truro Churches Trust CIO – annual report from the trustees – June 2025** ## **Charity details** Registration number – 1194164 Address – Kemp Street, Truro TR1 1EQ Trustee names – William Harwood, Alan Stanhope, Anthea Lovelock, Bert Biscoe, Roger Chilman The trustees act as a management board for the Moresk Centre, with day-to-day activities managed by a paid Operations Lead. When a vacancy occurs, a new trustee would be selected following advertising and an interview with existing trustees. ## **Introduction** The charity was first registered on 21 April 2021, with 5 Founder Trustees. The Moresk Centre has been open to the public for over a year, following COVID lockdowns. The trustees operate in line with a Service Level Agreement with Truro City Council, to provide a basis for the relationship between the Council and Truro Churches Trust. The trust manages a community centre known as The Moresk Centre in the centre of Truro. Truro City Council own the building that the Trust operates. ## **Activities in the Moresk Centre** In line with the founding vision the Moresk Centre provides a quality facility, at a reasonable cost, for local Truro people to use. The current users of the Moresk Centre include, U3A Carrick, Deaf Assist, the Labour Party, Inner Circle Consulting, Amnesty International, Pilates, Epilepsy Action, Bridge Group, Grace Church, School of Samba, Cornwall Wine Tasting, Clear Mind counselling, Truro Art Set, vocalising training, pottery appreciation day, Community Emergency planning, domestic violence reduction, Man Down, Connect, Truro Wool Shop, Cultivate Cornwall, Celtic Sounds, Warm Welcome, Chaos, Citizens Advice, Drama Express etc. ## **Relationships** The trustees prioritise good community relationships, which support the vision of the Trust. We aim to provide a positive, welcoming and attractive environment for individuals and organisations in and around Truro that support them to achieve their own objectives. Signature…………………………………….
