Section C Objectives and activities
The Object of the association is to train dogs and handlers to assist the Police, Mountain Rescue Teams, or any other organisation involved in the Summary of the objects of the search and rescue of persons missing or overdue in the British Isles, in charity set out in its governing document situations which will benefit from the use of air-scenting or trailing Search Dogs.

In the furtherance of the charitable objects, the principal activities of the charity are:

To develop and enhance the training of search dogs through a graded system of assessment against set criteria
-
To promote the use and effective deployment of trained search dogs in England and other parts ofthe British Isles, as required

● To promote methods and techniques related to the training and assessment of search dogs to other organisations
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

To hold regular training courses throughout the year for dog teams at all stages of development

To provide an assessment service in order to test and verify the ability of dog teams to reach an operational standard, including in adverse conditions

To liaise with other like-minded organisations

To raise funds to promote, develop and enhance the work of the association

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The charity was dormant for the reporting period whilst awaiting the closure of the unincorporated charity of the same name and transfer of its assets. A limited amount of funds was received from the unincorporated charity to enable the opening of bank accounts.
