## **Founder’s Foreword** 

Welcome to our Annual Review. 

This year has been one of significant reflection and strategic planning. While we have not been able to deliver on the ground initiatives as we would have liked, we have used this time to solidify our mission and vision, and to build a robust foundation for future impact. 

We understand that our supporters and partners rely on us to make a tangible difference, and we share your eagerness to see our work in action. Rest assured, behind the scenes, we have been diligently working to identify the most pressing needs in our wide community and developing innovative ideas to address them. 

This annual report offers a glimpse into our internal progress. While it may not be action-packed, it is a testament to our commitment to responsible stewardship and long-term sustainability. We look forward to sharing our accomplishments with you in greater detail in the future.

## **Organisational Background** 

First Light is a Charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) which looks to make awards to other charities and not-for-profits (NFPs) 

We are still defining and building our organisational capacity, which will be updated in future reports.

## **Objectives and activities** 

To advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the Trustees see fit from time to time, in particular but not limited to 

- relieving poverty 

- relieving or preventing sickness and improving health anywhere in the world by: 

(1) making grants to charities and nongovernmental organisations; 

(2) providing or assisting in the provision of free medical treatment; and 

(3) providing or assisting in the provision of items, facilities and services that 

will relieve poverty, relieve or prevent sickness and improve health.
