During the year 202 volunteers gave a total of 4.099 volunteer hours to The Ropewalk on a variety of events and general activity.
Volunteers acted a5 Stewards at exhibitions and public events, completed bullding and grounds maintenance and served the
community at health and well being community projects.

The charity has provided a cultural hub for the local communlty and the wider region with free access to arts and heritage
activities and exhibitions wlth 96.038 people benefitting.
An extenslve programme of inclusive activitie5 has welcomed elderly. disadvantaged and Isolated individuals into the centre to
free or Iow-COSt artivities fosterin8 social Cohesion and positive individual wellbeing.

During thè year the charity had a deficit of E34,10112024.. £-6,6911. For the year ended 31 Mèrch 2025 the unrestricted reserves

charity's objectives.

As the trustees of the charity land also its dirertors for the purposes of company lawl you are responsible for the preparatlon of
the financial statements in actordance with the requirement5 of the Charitie5 Act 2006 (the 2006 Act).
Havin8 satisfied myself that the accounts of the charity are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are
eli8ible for independent exafflination. I report in respect of my examination of the chariws financial statements carried out
under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) . In carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable
Direction5 given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act.

Your attention is drawn lo the fact that the charity has prepa￿d financial ststements in accordance wlth Accounting and
Reportin8 by Charities preparing their account5 in accordance with the Financlal Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 in preference to the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice
15sued on l Aprll 2005 which is referred to in the extant regulations but has now been withdrawn. l L*nderstand that this ha5
been done in order for financial statements to provide a true and fair view in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice effertive for reporting periods beginning on or after l January 2015.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examinatSon
giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accountin8 records were not kept in respett of the charity as required by section 386 of the 2006 Act.. or
the financial statements do not accord with those records,. or

The financial statements are prepared in steding. whlch Is the functional currency ol the charity. Monetary amounts
in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
The fa'nancial 5tatemÈnts have been prepared under the hlstorical cost convention. modified to include the
revaluation of freehold properties ènd to include investment propertie$ and certain linancial instruments at falr
value. The prlntipal accounting policies adopted are set out below.

At the time of approvin8 the fin?n¢ial statements, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has
adequate re50urce5 to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustee5 continue to
adopt the going concem ba515 ol accounting in preparing the financial statements.
Charitable lund$
Unrestricted funds a￿ available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of theif charitsble objectives
unless the fund5 have been designated for oiher purposes.
RestrScted funds are Subject to specific condition5 by donors a5 to how they may be used. The purpose5 and uses of
the restricted funds are set out in the notes to the flnancial statements.
Endowrnent funds are sublect to specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintained by the charity.

Income is reco8nised when the ehartty Is legalty entitled to it after any performance conditions have been met, the
amounts can be measured reliably, and it 15 probable that income will be receSved.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. other donations are recognised once the charity has been notified of the
donation, unless performance condttions require deferral of the 3mount. Income tax recoverable in relatlon to
donatlons recelved under Gift Aid oi deed5 of covenant is recognlsed at the tlme of the donatlon.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise Sf ihe charity ha5 been notified of an impending distribution. the
mount is known, and receipt Is expected. If the amount Is known, the le8acy is treated as a continKent asset.
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the tonsideration received or receivable and represents amounts recelvable
for goods and services provided in the normal course of business, net of discounts. VAT and other sales related taxes.

Financial Instruments are recognised in the charlty's balance sheet when the charity becomes party to the
contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabilitie5 are offset, with the net arnounts p￿sented in the financlal statements. when there is a
legally enforceable fight to sèt off the recognised amounis and there is an Intention to settle on a net ba515 or to
realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously.
