The Association of Local Energy Officers, ALEO, is a not for profit organisation supporting local government officers and housing professionals with a remit for reducing all aspects of the UKs domestic sector carbon footprint and tackling fuel poverty.
Objects: 2.1 The Charity's Objects Are Restricted Specifically To, At All Times Only For The Public Benefit:2.1.1 The Advancement Of Education Of The General Public In The United Kingdom On The Importance, Impact, Consequences, And Measures Of Energy Conservation, Energy Management, The Protection Of The Environment, The Reduction Of Carbon Emissions And The Alleviation Of Fuel Poverty, By Disseminating Knowledge, Information And Evidence Obtained Through Research And Understanding Undertaken Or Commissioned By The Charity Or Collated From Regional And National Energy Conservation Authorities, Charities, Local Energy Officers, Or Any Other Credible Organisations Or Sources Of Expertise On The Energy Conservation Sector; 2.1.2 The Advancement Of Environmental Protection, And The Promotion Of The Environment And Sustainable Development Throughout The Energy Sector In The United Kingdom, By Promoting Public And Private Energy Conservation Policies, Initiatives And Schemes To The General Public, To Collectively Reduce Carbon Emissions And Promote Energy Conservation; And2.1.3 The Relief And Assistance Of People In Need In The United Kingdom By Reason Of Financial Hardship, Specifically Those Who Are Subjected To Fuel Poverty, By The Provision Of Informative Services On The Provision Of Alternative And Sustainable Energy Through Regional And National Energy Conservation Authorities, Charities, Local Authorities And Local Energy Officers, To Alleviate Fuel Poverty.
