## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|OWR accounts are prepared on a receipts<br>and payments basis as income is <£250k.<br>The charity ended the year with a gross<br>annual income of £169.9k and receipts, net<br>of expenses totalling £157.5k.<br>A total of £7.9k from the annual income of<br>£169.9k related to restricted income.<br>78% of the income was generated from<br>general unrestricted donations.<br>11% came from fundraising and the<br>remaining 10% was from grants £7.2k, and<br>£8.6k related to reclaiming gift aid from<br>HMRC.<br>Expenditure predominantly came from<br>ongoing running costs and wages.<br>A closing cash balance of £17.7k, an<br>increase of £12.5k from the previous year<br>end, comfortably covers identified creditors<br>of £0.8k as at 31.03.23<br>Fixed assets capitalised and depreciated<br>amounted to £18.1k written down value.<br>Depreciation is calculated on a straight line<br>basis, over 5 years for all assets.<br>We have no freehold or leasehold property.|
