**This report is about both of the above charities.  Charity 1013310 has been registered since 3 August 1992 and charity 1194018 has been registered since 7 April 2021.  The new charity is replacing the old charity and all the activities and assets of the old charity are being transferred to the new charity.  The old charity is going to be closed as soon as it is practical to do so.**

## **Achievements and Performance** 

||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the<br>charities, identifying the<br>diference the charities’<br>work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>benefciaries and any<br>wider benefts to society<br>as a whole|**During 2021 the Easter Team helped a large**<br>**number of families and individuals in the**<br>**Crawley area get through periods of crisis.**<br>**During 2021 the Easter Team provided and**<br>**distributed food parcels to people in crisis on 2**<br>**days every week.  A total of 4,658 food parcels**<br>**were given away (up from 4,020 in the**<br>**previous year).**<br>**The Easter Team provided gas and electricity**<br>**pre-payment meter top ups for people in crisis.**<br>**A total of 1,103 top ups were paid for (up from**<br>**829 in the previous year).  The top ups were**<br>**mostly at £20 each (up from £15 each in the**<br>**previous year).**<br>**Through weekly personal contact (on the**<br>**phone or at the front door) the Easter Team’s**<br>**volunteers encouraged and helped many**<br>**people in crisis.**<br>**Many of the families and individuals helped**<br>**would otherwise not have had sufcient food,**<br>**would not have been able to heat their homes**<br>**properly and would have found the coronavirus**<br>**pandemic and other crises they faced even**<br>**more difcult to cope with.**||

## **Financial Review**

Review of the charities’  During 2021 the Easter Team had income of<br>financial position £63,973 (up from £37,247 the previous year).<br>The main income was donations of £29,917,<br>Gift Aid of £5,211, grants from Love Your<br>Neighbour of £18,542 and other grants of<br>£9,780.  Most of the donations were from<br>individuals and churches.<br>During 2021 the Easter Team spent £50,349<br>(up from £27,995 the previous year).<br>The main spending was £22,120 on gas and<br>electricity meter top ups, £9,791 on food for<br>clients (to supplement the food donated by<br>supporters), £13,624 on the employment of an<br>Operations Manager and £4,789 on other<br>running costs.<br>The above income and spending figures do not<br>include £77,122 that was transferred from the<br>old charity to the new charity during 2021.<br>The accounts for the old charity include this<br>amount as spending and the accounts for the<br>new charity include the same amount as<br>income.<br>Amount of reserves held During 2021 the increase in the Easter Team’s<br>spending was exceeded by an amazing<br>increase in income.  The Easter Team also<br>continued to benefit from an exceptional one-<br>off donation of £30,000 that was received in<br>2018.  At the end of 2021 the Easter Team held<br>a total of £74,126.<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>

The<br>hub is a joint venture with Love Your<br>Neighbour.<br>None of the Easter Team’s trustees or<br>volunteers receives any remuneration or other<br>benefit.<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>
