Section B Structure, governance and management

Description of the charity’s trusts

Constitution

Type of governing document (eg. trust deed, constitution) Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) How the charity is constituted

Founding trustees we agreed at commencement of constitution, and Trustee selection methods appointed positions during the first trustee meeting; also proposed and (eg. appointed by, elected by) seconded the appointment and election of trustees/managing trustee positions. Replacement trustee was elected by the committee at an AGM.

Additional governance issues (Optional information)

You may choose to include additional information, where relevant, about:

Trustees are familiar with policies and procedures related to charitable work, and in particular any that may be relevant to Bundles of Blessings (BOB).

All trustees have received a copy of the constitution, and the guide for trustees from the Charity Commission.

They actively communicate using email and WhatsApp messages, which means all trustees are aware of the status of the charity and activities at any given time.

Section C Objectives and activities

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

To advance the Christian religion for the benefit of the public in Shepway, Dover, Reading and the surrounding areas, in accordance with the statements of belief appearing in the schedule. In furtherance of this object but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power: a. To engage with different agencies, schools, care homes and faith networks b. To donate gifts and activity packs to people who are feeling marginalised, ill, mentally ill or simply lonely or discouraged

We are pleased to report that we feel we have retained our objectives of advancing the Christian religion by being able to donate bags to a wide range of people in our communities. This has had a far-reaching public benefit: Bags were given responsively to a wide range of people (in age, and social standing).

We continue to get heartfelt feedback from delivering bags. One recipient has now visited church subsequently.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)

During this period all trustees have had an opportunity to suggest and coordinate the delivery of bags to recipients. We agreed that content needs to reflect more openly our faith, whilst using discretion.

You may choose to include further statements, where relevant, about:

The goods included in the bags have generally been included after mutual agreement. We retain our personal touch, with each bag sewn and chosen with care and attention. This still feels important to us as a charity.

We have had no gifts received this year as our balance sheet is extremely healthy so there’s been no need to fundraise.

Section D Achievements and performance

The trustees are all very involved and supportive, and have had Summary of the main unanimous agreement on the objectives, and outcomes. This retains a achievements of the charity harmonious and unified feel. during the year This has remained a quieter year, and we expect next report to show this still, however several of our trustees (who do all the work too) have had major life changes, some extremely difficult. This means we did not do as much as we expect to do in 25/26 year.

Section E Financial review

Brief statement of the
charity’s policy on reserves
Details of any funds materially
in deficit
Further financial review details
Youmay chooseto include
additional information, where
relevant about:

the charity’s principal
sources of funds (including
any fundraising);

how expenditure has
supported the key objectives
of the charity;

investment policy and
objectives including any
ethical investment policy
adopted.
We are a very small charity. We also have very low costs; and these are
only related directly to the creation of each bag. We do not have a
requirement to produce ‘x’ number of bags, as they are produced when
the trustees are notified of a need. There is no need to fundraise or keep
a bigger reserve, as we have a very healthy balance with no plans to
expand the charity.
We retain our agreement that should the balance run under £1500 we will
re-group about initiating some fundraising.
We have no deficits
(Optional information)
All cash remains in our nominated bank, and we ensure 3 trustees can
access those accounts and payments are counter-signed.
We have a diligent treasurer and are grateful for a very healthy bank
account.

Section F Other optional information

It would be by agreement of all trustees that we may at some point in the future, try to enlarge the reach of this charity. However, for now, we enjoy it being manageable as it stands (given the work it takes to make and produce each bag), and that these bags make a real difference to those in our community who are vulnerable for many reasons.

Section G Declaration

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
