- The objects of the CIO are: 1) To advance the education of the public in Chinese history, art, culture and traditions

Section D Achievements and erformance p We had a successful year delivering events and activities in line with our **Summary of the main** objectives. **achievements of the charity during the year** We provided befriending, signposting and translating / interpreting services to local hospitals and mental health services as well as DWP. Park walks: We arranged 3 park walks Canal Walks: 2 canal walks Organised visit to the British Library to see the exhibition “A silk Road Oasis” and to the British Museum which was running a similar theme. Visit to Victoria & Albert Museum Visit to Wembley Stadium: For many, it was their first time inside a football stadium Watch football matches: Our seniors watched live football matches for the first time at Wembley Stadium. One of the matches they attended was the Lionesses vs Spain. Tai Chi classes: Tai Chi for Beginners, a series of 8 sessions “We wear Heritage” Project- introducing the public to various Chinese and East and South East Asian’s (ESEA) traditional costumes- origins of the costumes, adaption and evolution of the traditional costumes with the Diaspora journeys to the fashion as we now know. Volunteers paraded the costumes to the diverse communities Community get-together newtworking lunches Arts & Crafts workshops: Chinese jewellery, beading and knotting Cookery classes including dumpling making Celebration of International Women’s Day to appreciate the contribution women make Mooncake Festival in a local community hub Cancer awareness and promoting national cancer screening programmes: We ran workshops in various sites in the borough. We provided health talks including mental health, dementia, diabetes, heart disease in local church centres Chinese/Lunar New Year celebration with the communities ESEA Mental Health Awareness Football Tournament 2 programmes of after school football activities for children Our events and activities were well received with good attendance from the Chinese communities as well from other diverse communities
