The relief of the poor and needy in Bransgore and surrounding district, any other part of the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the world, or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the members of the CIO shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.
Additionally, the Rotary organisation supplements this with its own detailed guidance notes that trustees read before they are appointed as a trustee.

To raise funds via various public local events, with the aim of raising more income than the event costs to host. The excess being donated to various local, national and international charities or other voluntary bodies and organisations. In addition to support the various Rotary Charities, both home and abroad

As a result of its fund-raising activities: Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The Fun Day, Beer Festival, Fun Run, Shakespeare Theatre event and taking part in the Elligham show, the CIO was able to donate some £34,500 to its chosen local, national and international charities plus a local school and some individuals
