Volunteers in several countries develop and maintain resources for the study of the Bible at zero cost. The software is freely available as a website and for download, with an interface in 50 gateway languages. Principal costs are for three dedicated Amazon servers distributed around the globe, and load balancing by Cloudflare, both paid in the USA.
Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is To Provide Cost-Free Education Concerning The Bible, For The Public Benefit. This Object Includes The Following Aims Which May Not Be Circumvented, But Can Be Added To: 1. Enable Electronic Access To Bibles And Commentaries That Do Not Promote Non-Trinitarian Theology2. Prioritise Access To Academically Reliable Translations And Information3. Avoid Denominational Or Doctrinal Bias In Information Accompanying Bibles And Commentaries.4. Allow Cost-Free Access For All Facilities, Books And Information Sources That Are Obtained Freely5. Provide Open Source Access To All Code, Data And Texts Created For Stepbible, Excepting Security Details.
