## I . Trustees’ Report for the Year Ended 30th April 2024 

**The trustees for the charity Kandel Foundation for the purposes of the legal requirements of Charities Commission UK, present their report with the financial statements of the CIO charity The Kandel Foundation for the year ended 30st April 2024. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities' .**

The charity is controlled by its CIO governing document, as defined by Charities Commission UK. 

## **Recruitment and appointment of new trustees** 

New directors are appointed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). 

## **Risk management** 

The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charitable company is 

## OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES 

The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in Nepal by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient and 

the relief and assistance of people in Nepal who are the victims of natural disaster or catastrophe. 

Our over-riding focus is to relieve poverty or financial hardship, and we plan to focus on education, medical care, health, community development, emergency disaster relief, youth development, and humanitarian aid, and will be working with local communities in order to directly help people when local capacity is insufficient or inappropriate. In order to assist this initiative, UK qualified teachers will be brought in to provide education for the village communities, and doctors and pharmaceuticals will be provided for health services. 

## ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE 

However, after pandemic as we could not conduct the activities to support the communities. Most of the member of Charity were infected and planned activities could not be conducted. We aimed to excel so that we are able help communities and provide post covid relief for sustainability of the communities. We aimed to prepare ourselves for the year head and conducting regular meetings

The members have not required the charity to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 30[th] April 2024. 

The trustees acknowledge their responsibilities for: 

(a) ensuring that the charity keeps accounting records that comply with Charities Commission 

(b) preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of each financial year and of its surplus or deficit for each financial year.

## Notes to the Financial Statements 

## **1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES** 

## **Accounting convention** 

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008), the Companies Act 2006 and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities. 

## **Incoming resources** 

All incoming resources are included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. 

## **Resources expended** 

Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to headings, they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. 

## **Tangible fixed assets** 

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.   Plant and machinery etc. - 25% on cost 

## **2. NET INCOMING /(OUTGOING) RESOURCES** 

Net resources are stated after charging/(crediting): £ 180.00
